Sometimes, you need a little laughter to lift your spirits, and Tyler Farr brought his unique sense of humor to the latest #DiamondLIVE @ Home event.
Farr went live on the Diamond Resorts Facebook page to sing some of his hits and chat with Diamond members and fans on Thursday, May 7, 2020.
“My wife’s a critical care nurse, so hats off to you,” Farr said in appreciation of medical workers on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I like to help how I can too, and this is about the only thing I‘m good at,” he joked before performing his hits.
Farr’s two studio albums, “Redneck Crazy” (2013) and “Suffer in Peace” (2015), both peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, each within one month of their respective release dates.
During the livestream, he treated viewers to an acoustic rendition of his latest single, “Only Truck In Town,” as well as some of his well-known hits, including “A Guy Walks Into a Bar,” and his first No. 1 single, “Redneck Crazy.” Before diving into a performance of “Whiskey in My Water,” Farr shared how long it took him to write the hit song – and it’s probably much shorter than you’d think.
Between the songs, Farr answered questions including how he got his start in music, the surprising genre he started in, his inspiration for writing and some weird things he’s done during quarantine.
Wrapping up the livestream, Farr said, “Thank you workers on the front lines, truck drivers, everybody doing anything to help this situation that we’re in.”
The #DiamondLIVE @ Home fun is continuing, with shows scheduled each week through May, including a golf tips event hosted by PGA Tour pro Nate Lashley on Tuesday, May 12, and a Q&A with country music artist Colt Ford on Thursday, May 14.
