Brittany Lincicome was the star, but her daughter Emery stole the show.
Lincicome and Emery joined Diamond Resorts CEO Mike Flaskey on Instagram Live on Tuesday, May 5, for the latest #DiamondLIVE @ Home event.
The eight-time LPGA Tour winner, nicknamed “Bam Bam” for her incredible long drives, revealed she is itching to get back on the course, but for now she’s staying safe at home with her family. Lincicome made her official return from maternity leave at the 2020 Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions in January – then this year’s LPGA Tour was put on hold.
During the Q&A, Flaskey and Lincicome chatted about her life as a new mom, her routine before playing in a tournament and their shared passion of off-shore fishing. Lincicome even shared a few tips for hitting the perfect long drive.
Her ”get it, rip it” motto is fitting right now, as she figures out life as a new mom while prepping for the upcoming condensed 2020 LPGA Tour, set to kick off in July. She practiced balancing golf and mom duties at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions, but at the time, she wasn’t expecting to play a schedule that features numerous back-to-back tournaments. Packing for multiple weeks on the road will be a challenge, she said.
As a Diamond Celebrity ambassador, Lincicome meets Diamond members throughout the year as part of the Events of a Lifetime series. These events provide an intimate setting where members and guests can interact personally with celebrities and have a unique vacation experience with Diamond.
“The Events of a Lifetime have been awesome,” said Lincicome, “There’s probably 20-40 people, and getting to sit down to dinner with them and get to know them is a really cool thing.”
While the in-person events have been postponed, Diamond Resorts is continuing the series with virtual shows and Q&As. The #DiamondLIVE @ Home schedule is packed with multiple shows each week, including a live concert with country singer-songwriter Tyler Farr on Thursday, May 7, a golf tips event with PGA Tour winner Nate Lashley on Tuesday, May 12, and Q&A with country music artist Colt Ford on Thursday, May 14.
