Jameson Rodgers is here to ease everyone into the end of the week with a laid-back concert straight from his home.
Rodgers took over the Diamond Resorts Facebook page for the latest #DiamondLIVE @ Home virtual concert on Thursday, June 25, 2020, to treat Diamond members and fans to acoustic renditions of a few of his hit songs.
“Music is kind of the one thing that brings everyone together right now, so I’m happy to be a part of that in a small way,” he said.
The Mississippi-raised former college baseball player has made his mark in country music by writing for big-name artists, including Florida Georgia Line, Chris Lane, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan. His latest single, “Cold Beer Calling My Name,” is a collaboration with Luke Combs – and Rodgers couldn’t miss an opportunity to sing it live for everyone watching.
The rising country star performed a few more songs, starting with “Missing One” – which he describes as one of his favorite songs he’s ever written – as well as the heartwarming “Like You’ve Been There Before” and his debut single “Some Girls.”
For curious fans, Rodgers shared also what he’s been doing during his time at home. “The last three months I’ve probably written more songs than I did all of last year combined,” he said. “It’s been one of my favorite things that I’ve gotten to do during quarantine, and I cannot wait for y’all to hear some of these songs.”
He also reveals some artists who inspired him to get into the music industry, some behind-the-scenes info about writing with Combs and how he keeps baseball in his life.
