To date, Diamond Resorts has provided more than 10,000 free rooms to first responders and medical personnel working on the frontlines of the COVID‑19 pandemic.
Diamond launched the global initiative in March to help provide those responding to the COVID-19 pandemic with safe, comfortable and convenient places to rest while they carry out their critical work. We realized we were in a unique position to provide accommodations that are particularly well-suited for social distancing. Our suites are larger than typical hotel rooms and the majority include full, in-suite kitchens with refrigerators, ovens and stoves, plus full bathrooms and laundry facilities.
Many Diamond members have voiced interest in supporting these efforts, and we are happy to announce a new program that makes it easy. Members of The Club can now gift up to 3,000 of their points to frontline workers through June 15, 2020, to provide them with a comfortable place to stay while they carry out their critical work or so they can enjoy a much‑deserved break.
Members can gift their points through the online member area of DiamondResorts.com.
Diamond Resorts will match every point gifted.
Members can also save their points and have until June 30 to rollover up to 100% of this year’s points; August 31 to save up to 50% of this year’s points; and October 31 to save up to 25% of this year’s points for travel in 2021.
As an alternative option, members can also convert their points into a Destination Xchange® Tier Credit to use for up to 5 years for future travel. Diamond will also continue to provide all Club Members with the ability to cancel reservations at any Diamond Resorts managed property up to 15 days before their scheduled arrival without penalty through September 1, 2020.
