Winning “American Idol” can change your life. And indie-pop singer-songwriter Maddie Poppe knows this impact first-hand.
After her big win on ABC’s “American Idol” reboot in 2018, Poppe signed with Hollywood records and released her 2019 album “Whirlwind.” This breakout album features her first charted singles, “Not Losing You” and “Made You Miss,” which peaked at No. 26 and No. 21 respectively on the Billboard U.S. Adult Pop chart.
Diamond Resorts members have exclusive opportunities throughout the year to meet Poppe at private concerts in select destinations across the U.S. The shows – part of the Diamond Live program – provide members a chance to get up close and personal with some of their favorite celebrities, and create lifelong memories with their loved ones.
Naturally, Poppe faced new and exciting opportunities after being discovered on “American Idol.” She joined her indie-pop music idol, Ingrid Michaelson’s Dramatic Tour in 2019, following the release of “Stranger Songs,” Michaelson’s 2019 album inspired by the hit Netflix hit original series “Stranger Things.” The two singers performed 15 shows across the U.S. together, concluding the tour with a sold-out show in London, England.
On January 23, 2020, Poppe and Michaelson shared the stage again at the Homeward Bound concert, held in Los Angeles, California, to benefit the homeless community. Other artists who came to perform included Jason Mraz, Fitz and the Tantrums, The Doors’ Robby Krieger and John Densmore, and “American Idol” season 11 winner, Phillip Phillips.
At her latest Diamond Live concert on Feb. 17, 2020, Poppe treated Diamond members at Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club in Orlando, Florida, to a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The group of members enjoyed dinner and drinks before Poppe took the stage to perform a moving acoustic set.
Diamond Live events are only open to Diamond members and invited guests, providing attendees with the chance to interact with celebrity performers on a more personal level.
