Giving back and supporting the communities that Diamond Resorts calls home is a key tenet of the hospitality brand. Another tenet? Pushing the envelope to be first movers in the industry.
So it wasn’t too off-the-wall when the idea first came about to create a logo and branded merchandise for CEO Mike Flaskey. Everyone just needed to get him on board.
Flaskey agreed to the logo and branded clothing line on one condition – all net proceeds must go toward supporting charity.
In 2013, Diamond Resorts established the Diamond Resorts International Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity, that supports numerous charitable causes, including underprivileged communities, military veterans and others in need. So having the profits from Flaskey’s brand go toward the Foundation was a no-brainer.
As a result, all of the net proceeds generated by these items will benefit the Foundation. The merchandise will first be sold on-site during the 2020 Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions and can also be purchased online.
Flaskey sends great appreciation to those who make purchases to benefit these causes, saying, “You can rest assured that 100% of earnings from anything with my logo on it is going to charity.”
