Smart travelers borrow from the Boy Scout motto: Be Prepared.
Even though your trip will most likely be uneventful, there are a few things you can do to prepare for a problem.
- Take a picture of your checked luggage. It will come in handy if your suitcase goes somewhere other than where you go.
- Photocopy your passport and carry it with you, or better yet, scan it and e-mail it to yourself. If you need to replace it, this will really speed the process.
You can probably think of other things that would benefit from duplication, so go for it. And don’t forget to do the same for your travel companions!
