Any “One Tree Hill” fans in the audience?
Actress and country music singer-songwriter Jana Kramer always asks her audiences if there are any fans of the 2000s TV show so she can thank them.
“‘One Tree Hill’ basically gave me my music career,” she said. “At every single show, I’m always like ‘Shout out to my Tree Hillers,’ and the entire room goes deaf because of the screams.”
Kramer, who was one of the first artists to join the Diamond Celebrity ambassador roster, shared the story about her early career and performed several songs for a relaxed #DiamondLIVE @ Home show on the Diamond Resorts Facebook page on Thursday, May 28, 2020. She was joined at her home in Nashville, Tennessee, by her guitarist and dog, Waffles, who almost stole the show.
She kicked off the livestream by performing the single that started it all for her, “Why Ya Wanna.” She also sang her hit, “I Got the Boy,” and her newest release, “Untouchable.” Joking that she may not remember all the words, Kramer performed her personal favorite song, “When You’re Lonely.”
During the show, Kramer revealed why she chose to break into the country music scene and some of the life lessons she’s learned while in self-quarantine with her husband and two young children. She also reminisced about her favorite Diamond Live memories, including performing at Ka’anapali Beach Club in Maui, Hawaii, where her guitarist proposed to his wife, and Cabo Azul Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Kramer said she can’t wait to get back to performing for a live audience and hopes to see all of her Diamond Resorts fans soon.
“I hope all of you are staying healthy and well at home and I cannot wait to see you guys soon at another Diamond Live,” Kramer said.
